Above is a snippet from an illustration I finished Friday for Ladybug magazine (one of the jobs as a result of my postcard mailer
). I finished up my only work related deadline this week, but my week is full of projects. I'm making a baby gift for a friend and I'm wanting to do it in pastels (a palette I hardly ever work in) to match her nursery, so I'm making a couple of practice pieces to work on color. I plan on practicing with 3 small clay illustrations like the below.
I'm doing a tiger, pig and frog. When I'm done I'll probably end up selling them so stay tuned for the finals.
I'm also wanting to do something different with this week's Illustration Friday theme. I'm thinking esemblage. I haven't done anything like that since school and I loved it then.
I'm also working on a piece that I had promised to do for a swap, but when my hard drive died a while back, so did all
my swap info (who, what, when, where...everything!), but Bea
emailed me the other day and ask about it and I'm so glad she did!! Pirates, what fun!!
And, last but not least, get some black & white samples together.
Busy week, I should start now while the Woog's asleep :)
